Before That Night can be read prior to reading One Night That Changes Everything. It might even be better to read it beforehand as it really gives you a clear picture of who the characters are and the events that lead up to Eliza and Cooper's breakup - the basis for the book. Eliza is the nice girl and Cooper, a popular senior, is most definitely a player - a combination that is almost always destined to fail.

This is a much longer novella than some of the prequels currently available, allowing you to get so caught up in the story that it's a bit surprising when you reach the end. If you haven't read the full-length novel, reading this prequel novella will make you want to go out and immediately pick up a copy of the book so you can find out what happens next. It was the perfect motivator to get me to start reading the book.

I actually read the second book first and that book was sooooo good, i loved it, and when i read this one, i was disappointed because it was so short, and i was hoping to be a little longer, but i did love the beginning
This book is okay and is making me review it before I can read the rest of it stupid
Didn't like it and it was not written well. Sorry I bought it. It was more short story than book.
Loved it. If you like romance and drama this is your kind of book. It's very interesting and super suspenseful. But if you read this book you have to read the following one, One Night that changes everything.
From what I understood, it was good, but that also made like zero since to me. I wish I understood it more, but I don't. Someone please explain!!!!
Let me start out by saying that I loved One Night That Changes Everything. I was looking forward to reading more about the beginning of Eliza and Cooper's relationship. I thought they were cute and fun together. However, Before That Night made me dislike them both. There wasn't enough development of their relationship. I thought their conversations were lame. The way it progressed just wasn't natural. It was basically nothing like One Night That Changes Everything. Don't waste your money.
So I use my kindle under my dad's account name, so my name isn't David(and I'm a girl). I thought this novella was pretty good. One Night is probably my favorite book written by Lauren Barnholdt, so I had to read this prequel. I thought it was mostly cute, and interesting to read, especically if youre a fan of the original novel. I actually think I recall some errors in the book? Like details and grammar messups(I could be wrong, I read it a month ago) but that really isnt a big deal.
It doesnt mattwr which book you read first, if you DO read the original novel, you may as well read the prequel. If you read JUST the prequel, you HAVE to read the novel-It's just that good.
